The Flag of Saint Paul

(Adopted 1932)

Saint Paul's classic, gold tribar — the original Gladys Mittle design

Dominated by a large, red shield containing three symbols of Saint Paul's history—Father Galtier's chapel, the Capitol dome, and a winged wheel—this flag includes a blue stripe to signify the Mississippi River, and a "Star of the North" to symbolize both Minnesota and its capital city.
